Help Kidz Konnection raise $25,000 to restore and renovate the second level of the historic Academy Building.
The Academy Building in Clinton was built in 1801 for use as a school to prepare local students for college. The teacher lived upstairs and taught in classrooms downstairs. The building has been used since in many community service roles including a community hall, a dance company, and Clinton Youth and Family Services. Today the building has been partially restored by the First Church of Christ Congregational with help from the Clinton Historical Society, but the upstairs second floor has remained out dated with flooring and ceiling additions that date back to the 1970's. We hope to restore this part of the building not only as a more functional space for our acting community, but also for its future integrity and the continued preservation of the historic district of Clinton.
