Named after the 1950s United States working-class youth subculture known as greasers, the musical is set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School (based on Taft High School in Chicago, Illinois, and named after rock singer Bobby Rydell) and follows ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of peer pressure, politics, personal core values, and love.

This event will be held outdoors on the Academy lawn. BYO Lawn Chairs/Blankets and picnics as desired.

BYO LAWN CHAIRS/BLANKETS: This production is held outside on the lawn of the First Church of Christ. Bring your own lawn chairs and picnics as desired to watch the performance.  

Gala Event, 6/3 including social/refreshments: The Saturday, June 3 performance is closed to the public for the Annual Donor Appreciation Gala Event. This event is offered as appreciation to our generous donors of $250.00 or more. Donations of $250.00 or more receive 2 tickets to this evening of fun including light, hot h'ordeuvres and other refreshments during a social hour starting at 5:30pm. It will also include the special presentation of the Annual Samuel J. Reed Scholarship Award followed by the performance of Grease. The evening offers those interested in supporting Kidz Konnection a chance to meet first-hand, the many students impacted by the generous support of our donors and is always a special evening for our donors.
