• In this 6 weeks (9/15; 9/22; 9/29; 10/6; 10/20; 10/27 *no class 10/13) students will continue with story development moving to story incorporating concepts of trending social issues. This program will run 3 sessions of 6 weeks each with the final session offering the work developed as a collaborative whole in May. No class 10/13. *A pre-cursor to attending the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh 2028 or 2029.

  • This advanced level performance class begins 9/15 and allows students to explore their acting technique with comprehensive analysis of classical dramas geared towards a young adult and adult audience. Please be aware that the content and discussion of is designed for a mature student and audience. Performances scheduled for November 7 & 8, 2025.

Fall Mainstage ~ Matilda - Tuesday and/or Thursday Rehearsals 

1 rehearsal day per week. Choose Tuesday or Thursday for grade 2 - 5.

2 rehearsal days per week for all grades 6 and up.

Rehearsals for the Fall Mainstage, Matilda are every Tuesday and/or Thursday from September 16 thru November November 13 depending on grade level.

  • Grades 4/5 rehearse 5:15 - 6:45pm
  • Grades 6+ rehearse 6:00 - 8:00pm (both Tuesday & Thursday) 

Tech Week for Mainstage Productions are MANDATORY from November 17 thru 20.  

Performances the weekend of November 21 - 23. (students in grades 2 /3 follow a paired down tech schedule tailored to their age and perform 2 of 4 shows and in ACT I only.)

All levels will also be subject to providing their own undergarments/minor accessories and contribute a nominal costume fee all to be determined as rehearsals begin.

Students will receive ensemble roles in the larger cast, learning at least 2 dance numbers and working on 1 scene in Act I of the musical to participate in with the larger cast, culminating in a full mainstage performance at the Clinton Town Hall the third weekend of November. No audition necessary for this age group.

Dance/Movement Classes Wednesdays from September 10 thru October 22. No dance or Winnie the Pooh classes on October 15 **Ghost Tours Dress Rehearsal is October 15.   *Last Dance Classes October 22 followed by short showcase for parents at 7:45pm. 

**Winnie the Pooh rehearses until week of November 19 from 3:45 - 5pm with an added rehearsal day, Monday, November 11 from 3:45 - 5pm.

  • The perfect introduction to musical theater on the big stage. Designed just for our little thespians in grades 1-4 only. 9 weeks of instruction performs on the Big Stage as an 11am story time program at the Town Hall Sunday, November 23.

  • Play the colorful characters of some of Connecticut's most infamous residents from yesteryear performing comical and/or ghoulishly creepy skits in the local cemetery for tour groups strolling Clinton's historic district as a special Halloween style outdoor program.

    This community service event is offered in cooperation with the Adam Stanton House to help continue to protect and preserve the historic district of Clinton's historic homes. Students must be at least 7th grade. Performances are held in the Indian River Cemetery and are always a fun and popular activity to experience.
    Rehearsals dates: 9/10; 9/17; 9/24; 10/1; 10/8; 10/15 *Final dress 10/15. **Shows 10/16 -18 from 6 - 8 or 8:30pm.

  • A traditional 6-week class for students looking to improve their dance skills. Many young people discover theater over time and once bit by the bug realize they are missing essential dance skills to get top roles in high school theater or professionally.  This class is designed to teach the older actor the critical basics to tap dancing in an age-friendly environment.  This high energy, full of fun moves class will have you tapping with confidence at auditions in no time! Final showcase for parents at 7:45pm on 10/22. *No class October 15.

  • A fun 6 week drama class designed specifically for children who are in grades 1-3. Children learn to use their imaginations in a fun and cooperative environment to encourage kindness and positive social skills while discovering a love for the performing arts. Final Showcase for friends/families on Sunday, October 26 at 12pm. **No Class on October 17.

  • This 6 week introduction to theater meets once-a-week, every Friday. Incorporating theater activities with movement and acting techniques into a fun and cooperative experience designed to build confidence, enhance character development and sharpen imagination, this class is perfect for any child interested in exploring theater arts from developing original stories to crafting characters for the stage and learning cooperative and positive team building for enhanced stage performance. **No class on October 17.

  • A traditional 6-week improvisation and comic theater class for older students looking for a class to explore comedy and improvisation. Students work separately in appropriate age levels (grades 7+) and together in cooperative exercises to develop comic skits and routines appropriate for their age. *No class on October 17.

Legally Blonde - Advanced level Musical Theater Production

Advanced Level Musical Theater Program - Legally Blonde - rehearses every Saturday from 10 - 2:30pm from 9/20 until 11/15.  (*Please. note ~ there are NO Rehearsals 11/22 OR 11/29 - Thanksgiving Break) Tech Week is a mandatory rehearsal week from weekend of 12/6 thru 12/11.  Tech week times during weekdays, 12/7 - 12/11 are 4 - 9pm; Saturday, 12/6 from 10 - 4pm and Sunday TBD.  Show dates 12/12 at 7pm; 12/13 at 2pm & 7pm and 12/14 in the event the weekend sells out with potential additional dates 12/19 & 12/20. Auditions required, 9/9 or 9/11.  This is an advanced level program and as such a $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a place before auditions.   **This program is an advanced level program designed for students 9th grade to adult. 8th graders must participate in either the season mainstage running congruently (Matilda) or the Advanced Play (10 Ways to Survive a Zombie Apocalyse OR 2 classes running congruently to qualify. Currently active 7th graders with at least 2 years experience at the Academy may request an interview for consideration and if accepted follow the same policy for 8th graders.
